This project is a duet with Lynn Adib, a singer originally from Damascus, and myself on double-bass and guitar.
Lynn Adib had to leave Syria a few years ago, she then lived in Beirut for 2 years when the explosion of August 4 – 2020 forced her to leave Lebanon as her apartment was damaged in the blast.
She is now living in Paris and we have been working for the past 6 months on a weekly basis.
This new project includes a recording session this coming June at the church Analipsis of Jesus Christ in Athens, as we will be recording with the orthodox psaltes « Antifoniko Melos ».
Lynn learned to sing very young at the Orthodox Church of « Notre Dame de Damas » and her dream is to sing with an Orthodox men’s choir.
Our repertoire is wide, going from jazz standards sung in English and Arabic to our own compositions mixing Middle Eastern/Mediterranean and jazz influences.
