DRYADES QUARTET IN CONCERT
- Wednesday, September 2, 2026, 8:00 p.m.
- Paros Park Theater Ai-Yiannis Detis
The Festival in the Park 2026 concludes this year’s musical journey on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 8:00 p.m., at the Ai-Yiannis Detis Park Theater, the Dryades Quartet, a unique musical ensemble that combines the virtuosity of chamber music with the expressiveness of lyrical song, presenting a program filled with beloved melodies from around the world.
With a cosmopolitan vibe and a summery feel, the program spans different musical genres and eras, from Bizet’s atmospheric Carmen and Astor Piazzolla’s iconic Libertango to the unforgettable songs of Édith Piaf, cinematic melodies, and the timeless compositions of Mikis Theodorakis. All the compositions are presented through imaginative arrangements written specifically for the ensemble, offering a new, fresh perspective on works beloved by audiences.
The distinctive lineup of the Dryades Quartet—soprano, flute, viola, and harp—creates a refined and atmospheric sound, where lyricism meets the elegance of chamber music. Familiar melodies take on new hues and reveal different facets of their expressive power in a concert that appeals to both classical music lovers and those who appreciate timeless musical stories.
Performed by Katia Paschou (soprano), Melina Makri (flute), Krystalia Gaitanou (viola), and Evangelia Kiosoglou (harp), offering a musical experience of great aesthetic beauty and sensitivity.
The performance takes place in the unique natural setting of the Paros Environmental & Cultural Park, on the protected peninsula of Ai-Yiannis Detis. Here, where nature meets culture, Festival at the Park continues to present concerts that bridge musical traditions and artistic genres, offering unforgettable evenings beneath the star-filled sky of the Aegean.
